Crossing 50 meters, the surface far above is now merely a mirage as the immense water pressure presses down on every inch of her body.
But Altrae doesn't need to hear all this, she is a trained professional!

Turning on a light, something glints in Altrae's mouth.
She came more prepared than expected, using an air filter gadget. It lets her exhale all the nasty carbon dioxide while keeping the oxygen in.

Having to hold onto the jackstay properly as it keeps rapidly sinking, Altrae tries to reach for the broken cuffs. Maybe she thought she could somehow put them back together, but it's not like she can do much thinking with so little air.
Her chest already began convulsing slowly.

Dropped like a brick, Altrae is holding on for dear life, descending over 10 meters so fast is no easy feat.
With the water pressure rising, the progress will hopefully slow down to something more manageable...

Finally noticing the distinct lack of air in her lungs, Altrae's abdomen sucks in to compress the remaining precious resource.
Luckily the shadow below seems to be the actual ocean floor and hopefully the target of her quest. Just a few dozen meters more...
