Tyre graining is when the tyre tread slides over the track, rather than grips. With the sliding small bits of tyre rub off and sit between tyre and track, reducing grip #F1 #F1tech #MonacoGP
Interesting (not new or unique) cooling panel on McLaren Usually its an open hole in the sidepod with louver/blanking plates added. The MCL40 has louvers moulded in, then blankings added to manage cooling. This might be heavier, but creates a stiffer panel. #F1 #F1tech #MonacoGP

It's a blurry shot, but a rare glimpse of the @FIA #F1 safety data recorder (SDR) by Marelli Sitting in the cockpit, it has its own sensors & hooks into the car's canbus network. It isn't just crash recorder, but monitors & records the cars system for FIA legality checks.
