I've not spotted any obviously juvenile Goldfinches, but a couple have been regular on the feeders again.
- B-roll from February.
- Young Long-tailed tits looking like roughed up, darker adults.

Red faces and pink eyes:
- Goldfinch has no trouble with this puzzle, either.
- Been in a shower... Or bath.
- Baby Long-tailed tits naturally have more pink/red rimmed eyes, apparently.

I've not seen as much of them being fed, as the resident blue tits... But have a bonus adult Coal tit from April.

- This poor parent was so over-worked, and under-groomed, it looked like it had been chewed on!
- Constantly outnumbered (what you looking at?!)...
- All-day games of chase with a full brood (at least 3, here).
- But what a pay-off!

- May 9th: parent's frantic sorties to/from a box in our big evergreen.
- May 24th: curious creatures emerged, lacking the distinctive eye stripe.
- May 29th: beg...
- ... and you shall receive nourishment!

Baby Coal tit, happily sat in the jaws of a beast! (Monkey puzzle tree.)

Apologies: ALT image description 'fell off' the first photo when I changed the crop last minute (in Buffer)...
What do you think, square crop (above) or portrait (here)?

Baby blue tits are all over our garden, including this already charismatic chappie, mere weeks old!
My favourite bird shot to date, in terms of charm, detail and fluky halo bokeh. But what effort went into raising them..?
