Vučić about to do a Putin?
According to the leader of Serbia’s ruling party, President Vučić would be a natural candidate for prime minister should he win the next elections
That's not how the Chatham House rule works, is it, @chathamhouse.org?

Lapsed Catholic here, without a spiritual bone in my body.
The Pope is right.
A lot of reporting frames Sunday's constitutional referendum in Switzerland to cap the population at 10 million as a *response* to high immigration. I think it's evident that the forces behind the initiative are *using* migration as a tool to undermine Switzerland's arrangements with the EU.
"The apparent discrepancy between past statements and present-day reality points to an EU institution that has itself ignored widespread illegal pushbacks at the external borders, side-stepped Libyan coast guard violence, while cutting cash for migrant deals with autocrats..."
Again on the issue of framing: a serious newspaper should not report as fact that Trump “called off another major attack on Iran.” Chances are higher than not that this was empty posturing from the get-go, and Trump is a lying sack of sh*t.

A particularly egregious example: Switzerland's German-language newspaper of record, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung – pro-business and nominally liberal and pro-EU – ran a vox pop piece with expats' views on the initiative, headlined with the quote "I understand the anger of the Swiss."
Happy "let's defeat the far right by adopting their migration policies" Day for all who celebrate
Reporters shouldn't simply accept framings by political actors but contextualize and question them.
