It's been 20 years since I last saw George Lewis speak. What an absolute delight, old school ray of light in the new world of AI creativity. Some conversations have been buried in the landslide but they're relevant as ever. Long live GOFAI!
New trend in spam? You probably knew this and I didn't. These days often if I log into some service or app for the first time in ages, they consider that a cue to send me a spam, i.e., something from them lands in my inbox. Is this some legal loophole where it is considered a user-triggered action?
This is stupendously exciting. It's the most positive tech news I've heard in forever and I expect Australia and our neighbours to be watching with great interest. I'm also inclined to go hard on dadpunning at a time like this. I mean would you Qwant it any other way?
