Good morning! We got up on the snark side of the bed today. Let’s play “what’s driving HHS policy this week?” We’re going with “Vaccines use witchcraft to destroy America”.
Imagine if every single person on the planet is forced to pick a piece of candy from 1 of 2 bowls. Bowl 1 is poison. All of it. There’s nothing preventing you from grabbing a straight up murder snack. Bowl 2 is 99.98% M&Ms. There is still a poison pill or 2 floating in there, but it’s mostly ok.
This isn’t to say the 38 who died due to vaccine complications weren’t valued as humans. This is to say that we still have seatbelt mandates, though seatbelts don’t always save you. We still have airbags, even though they punch you in the face. Something is almost always better than nothing.
There’s still risk with bowl 2. However, I don’t know a single person who would willingly choose bowl 1. That’s what Ronny does, though. “The low, low chance of death is so much worse than a guarantee of misery and the likelihood of death.” What a douchcanoe. WI, we have terrible taste.
Biggest takeaway this evening: “Democracy can mean tyranny by the majority if individual rights are not protected.” Somebody should remind the GOP that even being duly elected doesn’t make you the good guys.
There are a ton of people in this guy’s district that are facing cuts and struggles. 36% of folks are on Medicare or Medicaid in that district. Wtf? www.jec.senate.gov/public/_cach...
#MandalorianAndGrogu was extremely cute. It was 2 hours of absolutely wackadoodle plot and I giggled the entire time. The kiddo behind us in the theater was applauding throughout. The world is burning. Find some joy. Mine’s green & tiny with little to no patience for huts that are too short.
My 7yo is currently playing Disney Dreamlight Valley and has requested that I keep reading her a book. Specifically, this book. I should have guessed when she enjoyed breaking down the similarities between The Wizard’s treatment of Animals in Wicked & the Trump admin’s deportation program.
I paid $3.69 at Costco at 8am this morning. The Kwik Trips were already up to $4.49. I live in the middle of the state in the Midwest. Public transit is joke here, unless you’re in the city center. This is going to hurt a lot of people, and it’s not even truly that high. Yet.
The West Wing taught me that this is a big no-no.
