Plenty of other insects in the nature reserve (VC29) moth trap this morning
Quiet in the garden trap (VC29) this morning, 39 species but mostly singles of each species #teammoth
55 species in my reserve (VC29) this morning many more escaped or swam away in the torrential rain that soaked the traps #teammoth
A few mammals at the weekend from the Isle of Wight, always a treat to see Red Squirrels.
Despite a windy night 51 species in the garden trap this morning including the first delicates of the year #teammoth
Yesterday was excellent, A trip to North Wales with @dartfordtrapper.bsky.social great views of the Western Reef Heron, Woodchat shrike, Black Guillemots, Manx Shearwaters and plenty more birds
Very tricky moth trapping conditions on the Isle of Wight (VC10) on Saturday night but a couple of battery traps produced 39 Species was ok considering. Nothing of real note but the Fern was nice #teammoth
A little late for #wildflowerhour as I am still in the field, posting from the Black Mountains, need to ID the lady's mantle
Finally on my third attempt caught a Silurian in the Black Mountains (VC42 ) just the one, and it was the last moth from the last trap but very welcome. With @dartfordtrapper.bsky.social
It was very windy on the Great Orme yesterday but @dartfordtrapper.bsky.social and I still managed to find Silver Studded Blues, Great Orme Cotoneaster, Feral Goats, Chough and Spotted Cat’s Ear.
