Like, literally one day I just sat down and typed up a bunch of random names that sounded magic-y. Before I settled on Elara, I was leaning more toward Eliana or something similar with that sort of tongue-y lilt to it like even the name itself sounded like a spell
There’s a goofily small number of names that are kinda baked into the LLM training data that they’ve become tells on their own. It’s worth looking up. But on the flip side, I might need to change one of my oldest original character’s name just because β€œArris” crops up as LLM fantasy male name.

Kat was also originally named Nala very briefly, but when I started trying to come up with names for Elara, I didn't want two names that sounded so similar to each other. The cadence felt more fitting for Elara so Nala became Kat instead because the very easy potential for cat jokes sounded fun
