Dear ANES community, the link below introduces our new Board of Advisors, led by Jamie Druckman. Jamie follows John Aldrich, who deftly chaired the Board for nearly 2 decades. This new group will guide us through the 2028 election cycle. Our deepest thanks to outgoing and incoming Board members!
The new ANES Board of advisors met this week in Ann Arbor to begin planning the 2028 study. It is a fantastic group and the PIs are very grateful for their dedication to the project and to the discipline. Once more unto the breach, dear friends!
New ANES Data Release! A new release of the ANES Cumulative Data File is now available for download. Over 200 variables have been updated to include data from the ANES 2024 Time Series Study. Consider it a holiday gift of data from your friends at ANES! electionstudies.org/data-center/
We can all use good timing, right? Well, the good folks at ANES just released the question timing data for the 2024 Time Series Study. If you need a measure of cognitive engagement with particular questions, this is your resource. Thanks again to the inimitable ANES staff!
Each row in the Timings dataset represents an interview from the 2024 data collection. Each column (other than the case identifier) corresponds to the elapsed time for a specific survey question for that interview.
ANES Data Release! electionstudies.org/data-center/... The 3-wave ANES panel is now available. It merges data from 3 election studies (2016-2020-2024), the first time the ANES has collected interviews of the same respondents across 3 presidential elections.

It includes more than 2,000 respondents who answered the pre- and post-election surveys in each election. In addition, it includes responses from panel maintenance surveys in 2019, 2022, and 2024. Please enjoy these ANES panel data responsibly!
