⏰At 2pm the full Ohio House is expected to vote on SJR 10; reminder -- it already passed the Senate last week. Our elected officials are manufacturing a fake crisis to sway electoral outcomes. 📲Take action to STOP this resolution: action.aclu.org/send-message...

In 1967, not even 60 years ago, the Supreme Court established the right to interracial marriage in our case representing Mildred and Richard Loving. Today, we remain committed to challenging legislation that discriminates against our communities and tears our families apart.
At its core, clemency reflects a simple but profound truth: laws, no matter how carefully written, cannot account for every human circumstance. Courts are bound by statutes and precedent. Governors are not. That distinction is precisely why clemency exists. https://ow.ly/Wv4450ZaJOW

We are deeply saddened by the Cleveland Clinic’s $2 million settlement with the Department of Justice (DOJ), the result being that the Clinic will withhold, for at least the next 20 years, science-based, gender-affirming care to children and families in need. https://ow.ly/X8HA50Zatim
Last night the Ohio General Assembly passed SJR 10, which means there will be a constitutional amendment on the November ballot to enshrine strict photo ID laws into our state constitution. News flash, Ohio already has the strictest photo ID law in the country.
The House Session will begin momentarily; tune in on The Ohio Channel ohiochannel.org/live/ohio-ho...
This restriction has already been struck down in court. Our Constitution is clear: lawmakers may not burden, penalize, or discriminate against people accessing abortion care. https://ow.ly/lX5C50Z9J1k
Masked, armed, untrained federal agents are aggressively arresting Ohioans – without warrants or probable cause - to meet President Trump’s arbitrary quota of 3,000 immigration arrests per day. This must stop. https://ow.ly/QhtT50Z9J0A
It's official, our lawmakers have weaponized the Ohio Constitution for their own political gain. SJR 10 is a transparent ploy to manipulate the democratic system and impact the governor’s race. The brazen coordination with the Ramaswamy Campaign is not at all subtle. www.wvxu.org/2026-06-10/p...
Happening now - OH Sen Health Cmte hearing. Today two abortion bills are on the agenda, HB 324, a bill to ban telemedicine for medication abortion, and HB 347 a bill to create a NEW 24 hr waiting period. Both of these bills are repeats of policy the court has already blocked as unconstitutional.

Amid debates over criminal justice reform, one of the oldest and least understood powers in American law remains vital as ever: executive clemency. Ohio’s history illustrates how it functions not as a loophole but a final check on irreversible punishment.
