I love Star Wars. Yet what Star Wars is and means has mutated a lot over the decades since A New Hope arrived in cinemas and changed everything. What I’ve been thinking about recently is how Star Wars in the modern era (the last 15 years or so) has been such a mixed bag of stories, many of which have been successful while many others have been failures – the worst being racist, politically extreme nonsense.
