We implemented focal observations based on the Kibale Chimpanzee Project and found that (unlike in the wild) males and females exhibited similar affiliative behaviors, a high proportion of female aggression involved coalitions, and some adult females outranked a few lower-status adult males
We are hiring! Jointly with @felixwa.bsky.social and the Social Minds Lab at UMich, the Cognitive Evolution Group is accepting applications for a full-time lab coordinator for research on cognition in #children, adults, and #primates. More information at: sites.lsa.umich.edu/cognitive-ev...

Primates like these #Barbary #macaques at Trentham Monkey Forest love to #groom! We are excited to be back to start some new research examining how these monkeys think and make social decisions.
