PhD Student with @trose-neuro.bsky.social Neuroscientist: Interested in stability and plasticity in the brain visual system Free time wildlife photographer

On my way to #COSYNE2026! Are you interested in representational drift in the visual cortex? Did you ever wonder how much gaze shifts contribute to it? (spoiler: a lot) If yes, come to my poster [3-197] on Saturday! Excited to present our shared (with Samira Altpeter) work and chat with you all
I think it is about time for me to learn what a neuron is. Is it time for you?

Application is open! Come join us and our fantastic line-up of speakers next year in March in Bonn!
Fantastic first day at #BonnBrain26 – Congratulations to @seidlcarina.bsky.social and @martipof.bsky.social for winning the best Young Investigator Talk awards! πŸ‘ Today starts with @edvardmoser.bsky.social's Keynote on Neural Computation of Space.

I would never say that β€œdrift isn’t a thing” in visual cortex - but at #COSYNE2026 we show that much apparent drift in mouse V1 natural image responses can be explained by gaze drift. Tested with predictive deep network counterfactuals and closed-loop MEI restimulation. With @sinzlab.bsky.social.

Looking for a postdoc to understand dynamic vision in action in freely moving mice? Get in touch! This is a @erc.europa.eu postdoc in a project between us and @sinzlab.bsky.social: miniature 2-photon, rich behavior tracking, and deep learning models linking natural behavior to cortical activity|RT

πŸ”¬ Exciting PostDoc Opportunity! 🐁🧠 We - the @sinzlab.bsky.social (sinzlab.org) and @trose-neuro.bsky.social (troselab.de) Labs - are seeking an experimental postdoc to work at @unibonn.bsky.social with cutting-edge miniature 2-photon microscopy and gaze tracking in freely behaving mice.

We are happy to announce the first workshop in our new series: Back to Basics! The goal of this series is to take a fresh look at the basic assumptions held in our field. In the first workshop, we will ask the most fundamental question: What is a neuron?
