As someone who runs around with a camera at cons, it feels really good when I see people use my stuff.
Hot take: asking permission to take a photo can ruin a photo.
Photography is about capturing a moment in time and people act very differently when they know they're being photographed. The most authentic photos are candids.

The dealership model in the US sucks for buying new cars. I have to take whatever configuration that is on the lot rather than getting to customize what I want.

I'm starting to compare AI software developer tools as something like an Auto Pilot on a sophisticated airliner.
It can be a tremendous help and reduce some of the tedious workload, however, if you're not carefully monitoring what it's doing, you may end up crashing into a mountain.
Very likely a legal requirement with this day and age. Companies usually don't make decisions that nerf engagement unless something external forces their hand.
I still agree with proactively enforcing labels on a per post basis. Labeling entire accounts negatively impacts queer communities.
