good news, I saw an owl today.
went to colorado for a music fest this weekend with some old buds. en route on a train, i sketched, quietly self-congratulating myself for not doom-scrolling. then proceeded to rush off at my stop, forgetting my phone. ooooh the terror. an unknown city with no address to the airbnb 1.5 miles away.
i need to set up a structure to pushback on UXers using a/b tests as a crutch for decision paralysis.
they often get proposed when we can’t reach consensus and ‘the data’ becomes the decion-maker, sidestepping ownership.

what saved the situation was having my pals number memorized (the only one i know) and an exceedingly kind denver stranger who offered to walk me there. such a scary reliance on phones. luckily i didn’t have one of those phone wallet cases or i’d have felt even more naked.
one of the features that drew me to this place was the arched doorway, that and the built ins, which are probably less impressive when illustrated.
