Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian published the MoU document:
The thing about Trumpism is that you can say something one day, and the exact opposite the next, and the rubes will go along with it.
There is no mystery. Trump launched a stupid, ill-considered war. He has an incompetent, sycophantic cabinet, has sidelined the diplomatic corps. I have no idea what it means to say that Trump “prizes leverage above all else,” given that he has an infantile conception of leverage as “toughness.”
Clever and appropriate.
In other countries, unpopular leaders understand when it’s time to go. In the US, unpopular leaders drive the economy into the ditch, start stupid and unnecessary wars, build monstrosity ballrooms, turn the reflecting pool into algae, and relegate the constitution to the dustbin.
In fact, Trump surrendered to Iran.

Clearly this MoU was a total
surrender by Trump.

The ”surprise” is that Trump failed to achieve almost any of his stated objectives and that Iran emerged from the war much stronger along many dimensions.
