This is something I have never seen before on satellite. Clouds perfectly outlining roads. Just incredibly neat imagery of Houston, Texas this morning. Massive shoutout to Ethan Mok who discovered it (on Twitter).

Actinoform clouds are just the coolest freaking things.
A peek at my weekly series in the CNN Weather app. Genuinely a dream that I get to make these.
Typhoon Jangmi had an awesome mesovortex over the weekend.
von Karman vortices are legitimately one of the coolest things our Earth creates. These gorgeous swirls formed off of Guadalupe Island earlier this week. Watch these wondrous whirls go.
And weird. They're so weird. I love 'em though.
I mean how freaking cool is that.
For those wondering why... My immediate thought was that it's just land surface/heat related. Roads are warmer -> warmer air above it is quicker to rise, condense and form cumulus.
Had a TON of fun with this one! Gulf stream eddy-generated clouds and actinoforms were my favorites to highlight.
