My mother, the inimitable Jane Yolen passed away this morning after a blessingly short fight with Alzheimer’s. She did not suffer, and went peacefully into the ether which, I am certain for her, will be filled with words of the most exquisite beauty and meaning.
The recent rulings in the supreme court I think are not just a sign of a roll back of rights but a sign that the legal establishment in the UK is more and more comfortable with simply ignoring international human rights norms and having no expectation of being held responsible for failing them.
