I easily have enough money and ability to rent my houses to never work again but choose Saturday library for ethics and full time making 100 functioning copies of a million+ user ecommerce production environment including all anonymous production data because I love challenge and am a masochist
I have a different situation than this, a lot, which is that there are games that if (you enjoy X type of game) then (you should try this game, which is an X) but (it doesn't get the respect it deserves, up to and including things people are irredeemable trash)
Given that we know a video game is not actually real until it has sold the most copies there are only 5 total games:
Minecraft
Grand Theft Auto
Tetris
Red Dead Redemption
Wii Sports
Sorry if your favorite turned out to be not real
I love this.

The crux of it appears to be that Nintendo filed three patents-in-suit after Palworld's release, and now having limited their lawsuit to precise older versions, even if they prevail on their claims the window of applicable damages is miniscule compared to what they (now safely) made later.
Interesting. I'm reacquainting myself with the Nintendo case against Palworld and it's not looking good for Nintendo IMHO. They have abbreviated their claims to only target specific older versions because PocketPair did preventative updates and some analysts are saying they'll be lucky to win $30k.
