We had a meeting today where we were told to simply take seven deep breaths whenever we feel stressed. Also, be sure to get four continuous hours of self care time each week.
I feel like I'm being asked to solve social collapse with yoga and bubble baths.
I spent all day trying to talk myself into hiding the ends on a blanket. Turns out I'm five and can be very effectively bribed with M&Ms.
Anyway, I've had a huge amount of sugar, and the blanket is in the wash!

I got the maximum allowable merit based raise this year. My partner suggested we celebrate by taking the difference from the first check and having a nice meal out. That sounded great until that first check hit...

I got absolutely roasted by my English student this morning. She wanted to teach me a couple of phrases in her language, and I was having a hard time remembering.
She said, "I think the internet froze, I can't hear you."
And then later, "Where are your flash cards now? You need them!"
