I went around in circles on this recently. Looking for a somewhat pocketable camera that comfortably out performs the iPhone for travel. I even dug out my old Sony Nex 5-N, but sadly I can’t get it to boot. Even after buying a new battery.

Agreed. It has not yet passed the threshold of usefulness. The time spent managing it currently is less than, or only occasionally equal to the time it saves.
The only consistent win is that it seems a better search engine than the current crop of search engines (if you can trust the results).
We are “only” expecting 36c, but have done the same thing : )
