I once was in a team building event where we had to do blindfold driving. A sighted instructor in the jeep with you, and a colleague walking beside you giving instructions. Totally disorienting when you were driving, hilarious to watch others weaving across an almost empty field!
There's another one close to Edinburgh. Dirleton Solar Walk goes from the village green to Archerfield Walled Garden - a great coffee stop! A friend and ex-colleague, Dan Arnold, set it up, and involved the children from the local primary school. dirleton.solar

I have been re-watching 'A Very Peculiar Practice' on BBC iPlayer - a series about a dysfunctional fictional midlands university. Very cathartic!

@astroroyalscot.bsky.social's Nature article on proposed funding cuts to astronomy research has prompted a number of us to write to our MPs encouraging them to attend the June 15 meeting: www.astronomyedinburgh.org/2026/06/05/p...
Our rescue tabby (sadly we lost him at 14 last year) had a non-conventional approach to stairs 😅

If you have any interest in astronomy at all then you may be seriously worried by these proposals! We certainly are. Here's how you can help.

For today's #birdoftheday I'm sharing my robin photo. Taken back in January this year during a really cold and snowy couple of days, I felt I really managed to capture the winter feel of that day in this photo!
