This was in Darien, CT which is an affluent town so there are certainly some eccentric people there, but this seemed beyond that.
Anyway, my day is now going to be distracted thinking of that.
Caught literally 30 seconds of FOX while filling my water bottle in the office and they were talking about how Spain could finish 3rd if they lose to Uruguay and Cabo Verde beats Saudi Arabia.

There was a lady next to me in the self checkout. I'd put her age at roughly mid 50s. She had a baby doll in her cart with a full head of hair so the illusion of it being 1 or 2 years old. She had the baby doll strapped down in the cart with a stuffed animal next to it and no human child in sight.
so now all I can envision is that this woman experienced some unspeakable trauma in her life and she's not dealing with it well at all and has no one to step in and help her get the help she needs.
