Close Calls matter. 📣 DYK close calls and minor injuries go uncounted in Ottawa? 👉 They cause fear, discourage walking, affect quality of life. 👉 The city needs to listen to people who walk and roll. Report your close call. visionzeroottawa.ca/posts/close-...

The province having abdicated their responsibilities on community safety does not mean the city can do the same. How does #Ottcity intend to deliver a credible Road Safety Strategy with Vision Zero at its core?
Just 1 in 5 drivers are complying with the speed limit at Holy Trinity School — down from 4/5 six months ago. The province replaced speed cameras with signage and called it a solution. The data tells a different story. 1/2 www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Ottawa council and senior staff accept 80% of traffic fatalities and injuries as acceptable. It’s their road safety policy. 2026 is an election year. When council candidates call ask them why is traffic violence is acceptable. What is their Vision Zero plan?
Today, with our friends @visionzeroottawa.bsky.social & @visionzerokh.bsky.social, we're launching a contest to find Canada's Best Commute! There will be community votes! Prizes! And great discussions for all. See details and enter your submission: visionzerovancouver.ca/2026/01/14/c...

Woohoo!! It's so exciting to see suburban support and is a reminder that things take time to grow. In 2024 we held a ride in Orléans and no one made it. In 2025 we tried again building on relationships struck the prior year and had a big success. Now in 2026 - FOUR rides across the suburb!

And if the east end is too far to go for you (or you want back to back weekends of family biking fun) - the Move & Groove team are holding their third annual glow ride with their first ever family ride early in the evening. June 6 in Vanier #OttBike
Next month we're trying something new... 1 suburb, 4 rides. Orléans June 13: Fallingbrook, Greater Avalon, Convent Glen & Chatelaine Village @theneworleans.bsky.social @bikeottawa.bsky.social @forourkidsog.bsky.social
Thanks to everyone who joined us in New Edinburgh this morning! What a great ride and huge turnout for a cool grey spring morning. 🥳🚲😍. Kids and families love getting around by bike when it is safe to do so. #OttBike #StreetsForKids
Join me for a detailed evaluation of the new infrastructure at the Jeanne d’Arc Boulevard overpass over Highway 174. In this ridealong video, I'll analyze the effectiveness of the redesign from the perspective of a cyclist and pedestrian.
