The destruction of the Reflecting Pool is a very public demonstration of Donald Trump's incompetence, but think of all the many other things he is screwing up behind closed doors.
It is worth remembering that one of the reasons public utilities were privatised originally was to depoliticise them and help politicians avoid blame for poor service. Nationalisation may be popular in the short-term, but there are longer-term risks of assuming responsibility for service quality.
The richest man owns X. The second and third richest men control Google. The fourth richest man owns The Washington Post. The seventh richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros. See the problem here?
