Yesterday, I welcomed the Secretary of State for Transport @heidialexander.bsky.social to North West Cambridgeshire, where we had a great discussion with local campaigners about the importance of rural bus services.
Too many residents feel unsafe due to off-road bikes being ridden dangerously on pavements & footpaths. This is especially worrying for older people & those with mobility issues.
Iβm glad Labour is taking this seriously, giving police stronger powers to crack down on this menace.
These changes have been championed by Anna Smith as Deputy Mayor, and with her leading the way, we can continue building a bus network that works for everyone! π
