The reason evangelicals hated Mormons was because they were anti-slavery. If you're going to make statements know your US religious history first.
I also think it'd be quite rude and disrespectful to God to reject the Book of Mormon since it is a gift from him. But God is God he has the power to save with or without it. He is not dependent on it to lead his children.
I mean Abraham didn't need the book of Mormon to be saved. In theory, Mormons don't need it either. It's a gift from God that testifies of Christ and c clarifies doctrine but it doesn't SAVE any one. It is more our covenants with God through his Son Jesus Christ that SAVES us.
I am LDS and have no idea what you mean by second revelation. Define that in detail please? I think you might be misunderstanding what we believe.
You do realize that Emma Smith (wife of Joseph Smith) was an abolitionist and Joseph Smith was Anti-Slavery and gave blacks the priesthood, right? Brigham Young was the racist. But our scriptures say that slavery is wrong and would be abolished by God.
I consider Mike Lee a traitor to the LDS faith. He is an embarrassment.
Also, why are all nicene Christian just Catholics? Nicene creed is a document created by the Catholic church. In the end all these protestant side quests seem like people preaching slightly different flavors of Christianity to get money.
I think I'd have more problems with the idea of the trinity to be honest. I don't think The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one person. I think they are separate beings that are unified in purpose. But I respect that other religions think differently. It's just that it doesn't make sense to me.
But this literally makes no sense. So all Christians BEFORE the nicene creed weren't Christian then? Only people AFTER the nicene creed are Christians then? So, not even the apostle Paul was Christian according to that standard. So nicene creed is a false standard for Christianity. Makes no sense.
