Saw someone made a 3D printable part to help replace a proprietary serial connector on a Cybiko (neat handheld wireless toy thing) with USB C, and mentioned a USB to serial converter. Thought it was a cool idea until I realized... the converter is external. It sends RS232 through a type C connector.
Went to try clean/repair the headphone jack in my audio interface, noticed the back of it could unclip and was just gonna try poke something in there... Wtf do you mean you can just take the whole shell off. Rare behringer w? Excuse the shaky one-handed demonstration, wasn't planning to record this.

Not me forgetting python is kinda slow and then furiously trying to further optimize my code that takes a whole 0.3 seconds to decompress and iterate over 5 million bitfield values
And yes it goes back on fairly easy, you have to lift up the top metal bit to align it with a slot, and also the rear plastic has a bit sticking forward underneath that needs to be aligned or it just pushes it away.
The moment they realize they aren't being welcomed with open arms in a random tech space they just showed up at, they always spin it around to be the other person's problem... Genuinely wondering what kind of environment these people were raised in because wtf man
It literally takes longer to write out the output file at this point than it takes to do all of the processing *including* reading the input file, and yet for some reason I'm not satisfied and want it to be even faster. Maybe I should just write it in C/C++ but that would change some other plans
Watching chat on a Tech Tangents stream vod...
Person A: [talks about several unrelated AI things]
Person B: Probably X but this isn't the best chat for that
[bit of conversation]
B: Also way off topic here, better go to [other place]
A: Weren't tech communities supposed to be debate friendly?

Now, the sane thing to do would be to take the board out of the converter and put that inside the device somewhere and wire it up to the type C breakout. That's what I'd do. Except now I have no idea if there's even enough space inside to fit something.
