Caveat to "perfect recreation": at least one synth is randomized a bit so it comes out different every time. This is why we can't get clean vocals by just subtracting the instrumental. Unless we figure out how to do seed cracking on a VST or something we're not gonna get that one perfect.
Apparently we're like one step away from being able to make a perfect recreation of Bad Apple's music in a DAW or potentially even a tracker. Others have found all the samples & synths and arranged them already. Only thing we're lacking is a clean vocal track.

These are the two projects I know of so far, I don't know if they have shared some work or did it independently. The screech bits sound more accurate to me on the latter. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMt4... www.youtube.com/watch?v=yVSY...

Now, the sane thing to do would be to take the board out of the converter and put that inside the device somewhere and wire it up to the type C breakout. That's what I'd do. Except now I have no idea if there's even enough space inside to fit something.
