NOAA Fisheries published a 'final rule' on December 17, 2024 to change the status of the magnificent Caribbean pillar coral (Dendrogyra cylindrus) - from "threatened" to "endangered". The rule was halted by President Trump's January 20th memorandum, entitled “Regulatory Freeze Pending Review.”
