this is fucking deranged, but do they realize how much this will actually harm the economic interests of the social media companies that lobby their gov? pulling this off successfully would result in a massive loss in ad revenue, decreased streaming/influencer audiences, sold products, etc.

not that i care about lost revenue - but the companies that spend a LOT of time and money to influence the gov DO. how can meta successfully influence politics or promote bigotry or destroy girls' self esteem if teens aren't online at all hours?
