Ikebukuro LABI was surprisingly excellent for #gunpla. Huge like of RG Patlabor when everyone else is sold out. 6ft+ Aerial (and Bumblebee!) displays. Tons of display cases with built kits. Huge selection of retail stuff. Not crowded
10/10, highly recommend
I still love Yodobashi Shinjuku, but they excel at tools and supplies. Ikebukuro LABI’s selection of actual kits significantly dwarfs Yodobashi Shinjuku’s
The bittersweet feeling of seeing Unicorn Gundam again, knowing it’s going to be gone soon
Nobody has perfect grades in stock, however. My chances of getting a PGU RX-78-2 or PG Exia on this trip are looking vanishingly slim. Oh well, I’ve gotten plenty of other good stuff and I still haven’t gone to Akihabara 🤷🏻♂️ It would be cool, but if not that’s still fine
I say “surprisingly” not as a backhanded compliment, but purely because it was just head and shoulders above every other department store I’ve been in on this trip so far. Blows away even other LABI locations by quite a large margin
