Throwback Thursday 📸
An unidentified young lady in a summer dress stands outside the Cornishman office on Parade Street, Penzance. She may have worked for the Cornishman at the time.
If anyone recognises her, or has any information about this image, we’d love to hear from you in the comments.
🥛 It's World Milk Day!
Pictured here is Zoe Newton demonstrating her craft as she milks Bertha the cow at the Cornish Young Farmers’ event on 12 August 1955.

It's Volunteers' Week, and we'd like to say a big THANK YOU to the dedicated volunteers we have at Penlee House.
At Penlee, over 120 people volunteer to help our team deliver educational activities, steward in the galleries, and research and data-inputting information on our collections.
A remarkable work by a remarkable young artist 🎨

What a lovely surprise! After sharing a photo on our socials on Sunday, we were delighted to welcome Mike on Monday – the young boy in the picture. The photo shows Mike and his sister Alison, and he even brought along the family’s own copy. A wonderful moment connecting past and present.
