Last week we celebrated Dr Yavanna Burnham successfully passing her viva. Congratulations @yavannab.bsky.social ! (And proud supervisors Lisa Leaver and Andy Higginson)
Yavanna is staying on in CRAB as postdoc on the squirrel project so stay tuned for more squirrels!
Very successful CRAB Staff and Post-Docs Research Away Day yesterday- great discussions and feedback about upcoming grant plans. Lots of really cool work in the pipeline (we think so anyway). Accompanied by a selection of French-style sweet treats.
Yavanna also impressed everyone with her quick thinking during the traditional cork popping ceremony, rescuing what could have been an embarrassing moment with aplomb.
