I am already used to mediocre men in academia stating the obvious or copying insights from women academics and getting more attention to that, so it's only appropriate we will have that with ex politicians turned tech lobbyists 😉

Just on AHRC big grant event, they are introducing distributed peer review process which is my view is a huge mistake. In such a competitive grant environment where so few actually get grants people will game the system and give lower reviews for applications to proposals that compete with theirs.

Well well if it isn't the academic publisher that I provided a review for a book proposal for and had to chase my payment for more than 6 months until I gave up, now asking me to do the full review of the book 🙃
