The good news is she's eusocail and even has a spermetheica... the bad news... Once male ants mate they generally die shortly after.
Whatever troubles you have had in romance your problems are not as bad as the issues facing these male ants. I think the second photo is easy to understand, but for those of you not as obsessed with bugs the first photo shows a male ant trying to mate with a termite queen.

I think there has been a fundamental misunderstanding about the meaning of the term "antkeeping" between me and the ants... You see I think of myself as an "antkeeper" because *I* find ants and keep them ... NOT because ants find me and then they get kept. However. She's so cute.
@michaelgemar @CowboyWho She likes it a bit more damp and I've given her a smaller space so she feels safe. When she has about 30 workers I'll move her to a petri-dish nest that simulates being under a rock as that's what they like.
