BREAKING: MS Now confirms Trump will formally nominate his former personal lawyer Todd Blanche to be his next attorney general. Todd Blanche mishandled the Epstein files, supported the controversial slush fund to give to insurrectionists, and targeted Trump's perceived enemies.

Blanche, the president’s former personal attorney, has been leading the Justice Department in an acting capacity since April following Pam Bondi’s ouster.

High admiration for/thanks to Scott Pelley.

On this date in 1968, Senator Robert F. Kennedy (NY), moments after claiming victory in California's Democratic Party presidential primary, was shot. He died the next day. He was 42 years old. This was RFK at his home, Hickory Hill, in McLean, Virginia, a month earlier.
When, if ever, has the Supreme Court held back on announcing a decision that was “ready?” And has it ever held back announcing a “good” decision until the last day before its summer recess, to end on a high note and steer press and public attention to that perception?
People who know (knew) Todd Blanche should be, as public service, talking more about him, his background, and what happened to him.
It is surprising and/but older-guy-great that Scott Pelley never heard of Bari Weiss until she was hired to run @cbsnews.com. On the well-possible chance that Bari Weiss never heard of Bob Simon until this interview, here’s his 2015 NYT obituary. @lulugn.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2015/02/12/n...
This person also should not be a U.S. Judge. Resign tomorrow. www.idahostatejournal.com/judge-ryan-d...

Hickory Hill had been Robert H. Jackson's home. Jackson served, as RFK did later, as U.S. Attorney General. E. Barrett Prettyman, Jr., a great lawyer and person, was an important aide to each of them. Here's a #JacksonList essay, "At Hickory Hill (June 1968)." thejacksonlist.com?s=%22At+Hick...
