There’s an underlying point here about the tension between the foreign policy need for US Presidents to keep their mouths shut until they have something sensible to say; the White House’s temptation to dominate the news cycle; and the media’s insatiable thirst for ‘news’.
Russia is openly waging a form of hybrid warfare against us and this is part of it.
Everyone on X and elsewhere who called for a violent response should be charged with incitement.
Everyone involved in the pogrom should be locked up with exemplary sentences.
Govt should make it clear that will be the response in future anywhere else.
