NiNi loves that about him but also sees Solas as her man. For better or worse he has etched himself into her very soul & heart. Arguably because of the anchor, her being the Inquisitor & him being responsible for it all. Finding out he was Fen’Harel only deepened their bond.
And she truly will stop at nothing to beat him at this game of chess… it’s not so much about the Veil as it is she won’t have him be alone, sacrifice himself or not.

Idk man, I like Solas, but seeing him weep because he was freed from slavery from his slave master only to be put into slavery again & sent to jail (“still his fault lol retcon black city doesn’t exist”) alone or w/ Inky who’ll die in a week that ain’t hurt/comfort that’s just leaves a bad taste.

One of my many head canons for Solas is he had never been in love until Lavellan. And he never seeks to claim or brand them as his…it’s so against his nature. To his ancient self love is freedom. It’s how he soothes himself when breaking things off. In his love he wants them to be free.
While out on a run the Dragon Age Inquisition theme came up on shuffle and it’s still magnificent.
