The magnitude 6.0 earthquake in Hawaii was likely caused by the weight of of the island pressing down on the underlying oceanic plate, causing it to bend a crack.

Finally, the eruption of Titan Ridge volcano in Bismarck Sea looks ending. It is emitting only a small amount of pumice. And luckily, the winds blow the pumice rafts away from the islands of Manus. The rafts are only seen in lagoons.
