I've been watching Babylon 5 (along with @merrittk.com) and it's striking how almost every episode is criticizing a) fascism, b) xenophobia/racism, c) homophobia, d) theocratic conservatism. @straczynski.bsky.social wrote that shit woker than The Pitt S2. No way an exec would greenlight it today.
Perhaps the most prophetic sci-fi film of all time, 12 Monkeys is about a millennial who wishes it was the mid-90s again.
