Seattle’s pace of new protected bike lane openings is too slow. Cascade Bicycle Club is launching a campaign to urge the mayor and SDOT to jumpstart the pace of investment.
“I apologize that we failed you. That the community had to get out on their own and put up barriers and put their own lives and family at risk," one city councilmember said.

About 45 minutes ago, Seattle Fire just responded to a driver hitting someone on a bike at Aurora Ave N and N 130th Street.
The person who was hit is being transported to Harborview right now.
