Just finished the 2nd game in the Survivor trilogy:
And I…am unsure why Shadow of the Tomb Raider was the only game that got horrible reviews.
Rise takes you on a relatively interesting journey that comes to a head in the 3rd act by handing the player a rock.
It’s not even a shiny one 🙃
All the build up of Lara’s journey with no pay off to keep you looking forward literally gives my favorite meme from Descendants 4:
if you ever see one of these dudes on the subway or whatever you gotta go like "ARE YOU RECORDING US?? WHY ARE YOU RECORDING US? IS IT FOR THE NEWS? I DIDN'T FILL OUT A CONSENT RELEASE" and they'll say no and then you can pull out "OH SO IT'S FOR YOU PERSONALLY HUH" and watch everybody get worried
