Get my email address. Today I got another scam call w/ an email arriving in my inbox at almost exactly the same time. Not about the same bookstore. Now about a podcast. So… nobody stole my identity but I feel I’m about to be annoyed to the max for the cardinal sin of providing my email to strangers
This is today!!
So heads up. May be coming for more of ya.
Had a fun time selling bewks today! Lots of Horror fans happened to be in the building and it was fun to talk spooky stuff. Everyone working at the Algonquin Barnes & Noble is super sweet too
unbelievable deal here
Heads up that I got an author scam call last week. It was a bookstore asking if they could feature my book. I ignored the alarm bells saying “they don’t have to ask permission, you goose, they’d just do it if they wanted to.” ultimately the goal seems to have been to confirm the phone # is good amd
We just watched Sleepwalkers last night. Wow, that was weirdddd haha

My mom took me to an opera (the only time I've ever been to an opera) and it was Tristan and Isolde. The set design was so incredible I had to look up who was responsible, and it was David Hockney. <3 Beautiful work. Seeing the sails of that ship in person, the shape of them, felt larger than life.
Shamelessly lifting @gracedalyauthor.bsky.social's very cool promo image to say COME SEE US TOMORROW at the Barnes & Noble in Algonquin, IL! We'll be slinging and signing our books from 1-3!
Just found and wanted to also share what I think is an actual photo of the actual set during a performance versus probably the model? I don't pretend to know how set design works but that makes sense to me.
