Following a successful pilot in 10 schools, capturing data on pupils & teachers and supporting 1,500 vulnerable girls with lightly conditional cash transfers, Jigitugu has now been officially handed over to the Ministry.
As well as collecting school, learner, & learner & teacher attendance data, Jigitugu also captures learner performance data and is configured to work with our Cash Transfer and GRM Tool for joined-up approach to data and cash programme delivery.
Developed by CGA Technologies under the World University Service of Canada (WUSC)-implemented @globalaffairs.canada.ca-funded PASCOFI programme, Jigitugu is adapted from our HereMIS platform to meet Mali’s education priorities.
Our congratulations to Mali’s Ministere De l’Education Nationale on the official handover of #Jigitugu yesterday — marking the full transfer of ownership of this innovative digital attendance and cash transfer system. 🇲🇱
Thanks to @ukfiet.bsky.social for publishing our blog about the impact of our Girls in School Initiative in Sierra Leone shorturl.at/dAgOh
It was a pleasure to be part of UKFIET25 & so many important discussions, inc. how we can continue to reach the most vulnerable, sustainability, and at scale.
