Fourteen years ago, America invested in the potential of Dreamers. Since then, DACA recipients have built careers, raised families, paid taxes, and are integral members of our communities.
After 14 years of success, Dreamers deserve permanent protections—not uncertainty.
Republicans want another $70 billion for ICE — if we put that funding toward housing, we could get a roof over every veteran's head and probably end homelessness altogether.
That's what my amendment would do.
There's so much good we could do with $70 billion.
