Fourteen years ago, America invested in the potential of Dreamers. Since then, DACA recipients have built careers, raised families, paid taxes, and are integral members of our communities. After 14 years of success, Dreamers deserve permanent protections—not uncertainty.
Republicans want another $70 billion for ICE — if we put that funding toward housing, we could get a roof over every veteran's head and probably end homelessness altogether. That's what my amendment would do.
There's so much good we could do with $70 billion. Just about anything would be better than giving it to ICE.
Trump thinks our tax dollars should serve him and only him. My amendments would have blocked funding for his special interest projects and put that money toward what our communities actually need.
If Republicans want to look at waste, fraud, and abuse, let's start with Trump's billion dollar ballroom.
Too many communities have been forever changed by gun violence — including Louisville. During Gun Violence Awareness Month, we wear orange to honor the friends, loved ones, and neighbors we've lost to gun violence. We can and must do more to prevent these tragedies.

Part of the reason I got into politics was the experience we went through with our kids in the hospital. We can always do more when it comes to pediatric care, and I'm so inspired by Nolan's bravery to speak up and advocate for change — at 6 years old! bit.ly/4fAOk4g
