usually it just means that what you read of the book is a signal as to what his personal beliefs are since he's doing it unconsciously. What it tells me is that he wishes the best for the world but doesn't know what's actually at play

ooof...Lost a huge amount of respect for Weir here. Enough to probably not bother reading future books thanks to blinding ignorance on what it means to "put social commentary" in his works. But at least it explains how Artemis could be so bad 😅
