Still, throughout the centuries, the Xathenese people give aid and support to Aloutia and allow them use of the castle’s resources (portals. Lots and lots of portals). One of the mushrooms that grew there was also the key to making the Dinner potion, so that was relevant until it was banned in 302.

An almiraj will create a warren-like den with other almirajes, often using a tree trunk as starting points and living in a network under their roots. Female almirajes will dig their own personal chambers for their babies (remember, these creatures lay eggs), but leave for food.

It’s Castlevania vibes with fungal fuckery. Aloutia and Ophidia had a whole-ass war over it, and Aloutia was the winner (around the year 145.) Technically it’s not owned by Aloutia, but rather their allies, the mushroom species, the Xathenese.

In the Pentagonal Dominion, the four traditional seasons are represented by an animal. Almirajes are THE animal most associated with autumn since a tree poked by its horn will react like it's autumn. Its leaves will change color and fall off.
What this means if you were living in the PD is that you'll often see drawings of almirajes in calendars or almanacs to represent the start to autumn. Since their horn uses Death elementrons, they can also symbolize the Death element or Sawyer himself in religious art

lol, I was just talking about Castlevania yesterday, and here's the answer where I compare a castle in my world to one from that series
Castle Xathenessi. Imagine an epic huge castle, so big that you can get lost inside, and it’s in the darkest and dankest parts of a mushroom forest.
