The surveillance op was secret for years and included a grand jury subpoena and a search warrant both asking for all kinds of info (including any private text messages over encrypted apps like iMessage, WhatsApp and Signal), as well as multiple metadata surveillance orders.
The surveillance was ongoing as of mid-2025. Current status unknown, as is the subject's identity.

This is an outrageous story. A farmer donated 87 acres to a small Texas city on the condition it be used as a public park. Years later, the farmer has passed away, the city sold the land to a developer, and now it will be the site of a 135,000 square foot data center
