Since it's Pride Month, I feel like sharing my favorite queer comic book couple. Betsy Braddock and Rachel Summers. Do you have a favorite queer comic book couple?
It's tragic that we never got to see these "recent events" that lead Betsy to decide that going out to save the world wasn't worth the risk. Did what happened to that town remind her of Archangel? Was she afraid she was going to fail Rachel the way she failed Warren? #X-Force

I... kind of think doing hard time in the retail service industry should be a pre-req for any kind of public service position. I'm not even kidding.
I had hesitation going into Psylocke but it has a lot to add to Betsy and Elektra and I appreciate that. I wish their strong friendship carried into the present.
Also it was interesting to revisit this time with fuller knowledge of Betsy as a queer person who struggled with an eating disorder.
Apparently Catholicism is making a comeback in Britain.
It is also the 50th anniversary of Marvel's Captains Britain, the Catholic-guilt personified fairy twins. One of whom is also a purple haired queer lady.

I really appreciate that @hackintimseeley.bsky.social combined Betsy's weird love of Summers with her love of women who wear red into a poignant scene in this issue of Psylocke Ninja. 😄
(If only there was a Summers girl who wore a lot of red... You'll find her one day, Bets!)
Another of my favourite X-Men is Rachel Summers, no code name required, particularly from her Excalibur days.
She was such a rough cookie! I remember her being all punk confidence.
